Set Up Instagram Hashtag Feeds
The Instagram Hashtag app displays Instagram posts that include a specific hashtag on your digital signage screens.
When you add an app to a playlist, it appears as a scene in your rotation.
Before You Start
To connect Instagram to Juuno, you need:
An Instagram Business or Creator account — Personal Instagram accounts cannot be connected.
A Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account — This is required because Instagram Business accounts are managed through Meta's platform.
A Facebook account with admin access to the linked Page — You'll authorize Juuno through Facebook, not Instagram directly.
If you don't have these set up, follow the steps below to prepare your accounts.
Convert to an Instagram Business Account
Open Instagram in your browser and go to your profile.
Go to Settings > Account and select Switch to Professional Account.
Choose Business or Creator as your account type.
Complete the profile setup.
Link Your Instagram Account to a Facebook Page
Log in to Facebook on your desktop.
Open the Facebook Page you want to link.
Go to Settings > Linked Accounts.
Click Connect next to Instagram and log in to your Instagram account.
Once linked, your Instagram Business account is ready to connect to Juuno.
Connect Instagram to Juuno
Add the Instagram Hashtag app to your playlist.
In the Source tab, click Connect Instagram.
When prompted, log in with your Facebook account (the one that has admin access to the Page linked to your Instagram Business account).
During authorization, make sure to select:
All Facebook Pages — or at minimum, the Page linked to your Instagram account.
All Instagram accounts — or at minimum, the Instagram Business account you want to use.
All permissions — This is required for Juuno to access hashtag content.
After authorizing, you'll be redirected back to Juuno.
Enter the hashtag you want to display (for example:
#eventsor#companyculture).Click Add.
If you don't grant all permissions or select the correct Page and Instagram account during authorization, the connection will fail. See the troubleshooting section below if you encounter errors.
Moderate Posts
The Moderate tab lets you control which posts appear on your screens.
Options include:
Manually approve new posts — Each new post requires your approval before appearing.
Auto-approve new posts — New posts display automatically.
Filter posts by status:

Troubleshooting
Error: "No Instagram Business Account"
This error appears when Juuno cannot detect an Instagram Business Account linked to a Facebook Page during connection.
Causes:
Your Instagram account is a personal account, not a Business or Creator account.
Your Instagram Business account is not linked to a Facebook Page.
You authorized Juuno with a Facebook account that isn't an admin of the linked Page.
You didn't select the correct Page or Instagram account during authorization.
Resolution:
Confirm your Instagram account is a Business or Creator account (see the setup steps above).
Verify your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page in Facebook Settings > Linked Accounts.
Refresh the connection:
Go to Settings > Social Connections in Juuno and delete the Instagram connection.
Go to your Facebook account settings and remove the Juuno app integration.
Reconnect Instagram through Juuno, making sure to authorize with a Facebook admin account and grant all permissions.
Error: "No post to review" or No Posts Showing
If the hashtag feed appears empty after setup, the cause is usually:
The hashtag has no public posts — Check Instagram directly to confirm the hashtag has content.
Permissions weren't fully granted — You must enable all permissions for Juuno to access hashtag content.
Resolution:
Check the hashtag on Instagram to confirm it has public posts.
If the hashtag has posts but none appear in Juuno, refresh the connection:
Delete the Instagram connection in Settings > Social Connections.
Remove the Juuno app from your Facebook account settings.
Reconnect and ensure you select All Facebook Pages, All Instagram accounts, and All permissions.
Re-add the hashtag feed and check the preview.
If you've verified all the above and posts still aren't appearing, contact support with the hashtag, your Workspace name, Playlist name, and any screenshots of the error.
