What is a Playlist?

A playlist is a collection of scenes, which may include news, images, videos, social media posts, and more — arranged to play in a specific sequence. It is the content that will be displayed on your screen.

You can drag an app from the right panel and drop it into the middle, your playlist panel, to add it as a 'scene.' There is no limit to the number of apps you can add as scenes. Each scene can be set with its own duration, and you can reorder scenes by dragging them to create a sequence of your preference.

There's no limit as to how many playlists you wish to have in your workspace.

Workspace Playlists vs. Global Playlists Tab

Playlists are organized into two sections to help you manage content more efficiently. These tabs become available once your account has multiple workspaces.

1. Workspace Playlists

These are the playlists that belong only to your current workspace.

  • Users of the workspace can create, update, and delete playlists in this section
  • Every member of the workspace can manage playlists

There is no limit to the number of Workspace Playlists you can create.

2. Global Playlists Tab

Global Playlists are shared across all workspaces in your account. This tab become automatically available once your account has multiple workspaces.

  • Standard users — won't see this tab. The Global Playlists will appear directly on their workspace’s Playlist page. They can use the Global Playlist, add it to a schedule or sequence, and play it on a screen, but they won’t be able to make any changes to it.
  •  Administrators — can create, edit, update, and delete Global Playlists.

Think of the Global Playlists as shared playlists across all your workspaces. And there is no limit to the number of Playlists you can create here.

Preview Screen

You can click on the 'eye' icon for a quick preview of how your playlist will appear on a screen.

Connect/Play on a Screen

On your playlist's page, you can directly connect and play your playlist on a screen. Simply click the 'Cast' icon, and a modal will appear, allowing you to either connect to a new screen or play on your existing connected screens.
