Android Default Chrome Versions
If you’re troubleshooting Player compatibility across Android versions, this doc can help you quickly check which Chrome or Chromium version each Android release includes.
📌 Juuno's Player requires Chromium v93 or higher. If the device’s default browser or WebView is below this version, modern APIs used by the Player may not work or function properly.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The table below shows the default Chrome version that shipped with each major Android release. These values are only approximate, since OEMs can update Chrome independently through Google Play.
- OEMs (e.g., Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.) can be sometimes customized or omitted Chrome entirely on launch devices. However, all Play-certified devices could still install or update Chrome and WebView via Google Play.
- Starting with Android 5.0 (Lollipop), WebView became a separately updatable system component, usually tracking the same Chromium milestone as the Chrome version released with that Android version.
